My final interior project consists of two parts. On one hand, I design a temporary living-unit out of triangle panels. These serve as wall, floor and ceiling. On the other hand… During my search for a location, I came across the WTCI, the Noordwijk and learned about its history. 49 years ago, a complete neighbourhood was destroyed to create the “new”Noordwijk. The adjacent neighbourhood reacted with a series of wall paintings on the border of the two. Eventually, also this neighbourhood disappeared. Today the WTCI is almost completely unoccupied. The goal of my project is to recreate this vibrant neighbourhood inside the WTC tower, and tell the story of the past by resurfacing the paintings.
